Privacy policy

How Davyhulme Pharmacy in Urmston collects, stores and uses personal data under UK GDPR.

Who we are

Davyhulme Pharmacy is the trading name of U-Chem Private Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House 07955115). Our registered pharmacy at 179-181 Canterbury Road, Urmston M41 0SE is the data controller for any personal data you share with us. Our Superintendent Pharmacist Muhammad Adnan (GPhC 2073652) is responsible for clinical record keeping.

What we collect

For NHS dispensing we hold your name, date of birth, NHS number, address, GP details and prescription history. For private services such as ear wax removal or weight loss we also hold the consultation notes, photographs (only where you consent), height, weight, blood pressure and any medication you tell us about. Payment for private services is processed by our card terminal provider; we never store card numbers ourselves.

Why we hold it

The lawful basis for clinical records is the provision of healthcare under UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h). For booking confirmations and recall reminders the basis is contract; for marketing we always ask separate opt-in consent and you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

NHS prescription data is shared with NHS Business Services Authority for reimbursement. Clinical notes about a Pharmacy First or weight-loss consultation may be sent to your GP via the NHS spine. We do not sell data to third parties or share it with marketing partners.

How long we keep it

NHS dispensing records are kept for ten years in line with NHS retention guidance. Private clinical notes are kept for eight years after the last contact. CCTV footage from the shop floor is held for thirty days then overwritten.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (where retention rules allow), or complain to the Information Commissioner (ico.org.uk). Email davyhulmepharmacy@gmail.com or write to the pharmacy address. We respond within one month.
