Who can use the service
You are eligible if you are aged eighteen or over, have a BMI of thirty or more (or twenty-seven or more with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, fatty liver or osteoarthritis). You must not be pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy in the next two months. We screen for thyroid medullary cancer history, pancreatitis, severe gastrointestinal disease and other contraindications during your initial consultation.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I lose weight?
Most patients lose two to four kilograms in the first month, then around one kilogram a week as the dose escalates. After six months the rate slows. Plateau weeks are normal and we adjust the plan rather than panic.
Can I stop after I reach my goal?
Yes, but weight regain is common if you stop suddenly. We design a taper that drops the dose slowly over several months and uses the lessons you have learnt about eating to hold the new weight.
Do I have to inject myself?
Yes, but the pen is the size of a fountain pen and the needle is so fine most patients barely feel it. We demonstrate at your first visit and watch you do the second injection yourself.
What if I miss a dose?
If less than four days late, take it as soon as you remember and continue the normal schedule. If more than four days late, skip and continue from the next planned day. We talk through this at month one.
Is this available on the NHS?
A very limited NHS specialist obesity service exists in Trafford with long waiting lists. Our private service runs in parallel for patients who want to start now.
How is your price so much lower than online clinics?
Most online clinics build expensive marketing and reseller fees into the price. We are a local pharmacy in Urmston with low overheads and we earn our income through continued patient trust, not first-month upsells.
Can I switch from Wegovy to Mounjaro?
Yes. We do this often when patients plateau on Wegovy 2.4 mg. The switch usually goes Wegovy 2.4 mg to Mounjaro 5 mg with a short break, but we tailor it.
Will my GP know I am on this?
With your consent we send the GP a short note at start and at six months, so they know about the medication if they prescribe something new for you.
How private is the appointment?
Fully. The consultation room is closed, soundproofed and away from the shop floor. We weigh you on a digital scale that does not display the number to anyone but you.
