What pharmacist supervision actually means at our pharmacy in Urmston

Weight loss injections are powerful medicines. They deserve more than a five-minute online form. Here is exactly what monthly pharmacist supervision looks like at Davyhulme Pharmacy.

Monthly in-person review

Every patient on Mounjaro or Wegovy at our pharmacy in Urmston is reviewed in person every month. Weight, blood pressure, side effects and any new medicines are checked, recorded and discussed. No tick-box online forms — a proper conversation with a pharmacist who knows your history.

Pens dispensed at our counter

Pens are dispensed straight from our pharmacy fridge into your hand. There is no cold-chain courier risk and no waiting in for a delivery. If a question comes up between reviews you can pop in or phone us on 0161 748 3016.

GPhC-regulated care

Davyhulme Pharmacy is a GPhC-registered premises (number 1091237). Our superintendent pharmacist Muhammad Adnan (GPhC 2073652) oversees the weight loss service personally and signs off every clinical decision.

Independent of any single supplier

We are not tied to one manufacturer or one brand. The pharmacist will recommend Mounjaro or Wegovy based on your history, your budget, and what is right for you medically — not based on margin.

We say no when no is the right answer

Patient safety always sits above the sale of a pen. If your BMI is below the treatment range, or if your history flags a contraindication, we will tell you and signpost you to your GP. That is what GPhC supervision actually means in practice.

Step-down planning built in

Treatment is not forever. When weight goals are reached we plan a step-down with you so that appetite returns gradually and you keep what you have lost. The plan is shared in writing at the review where you decide to start tapering.
